Vihtavuori N130 Smokeless Gun Powder

Formerly known as N303, Vihtavuori N130 is a versatile multipurpose rifle powder well suited to small game hunting and target shooting. It’s used in many factory-loaded .22 caliber and 6mm PPC cartridges, and makes an excellent handloading match for lighter bullets in .223 Remington, as well as straight-wall rifle cases like the .45-70 Government and .458 Winchester Magnum.

A single-base, tubular powder with a relatively fast burn rate for a rifle powder, N130 shares identical grain dimensions with its siblings N133 and N135 — though differing surface coatings give each a distinct burning behaviour. This is backed by Vihtavuori’s tightly controlled production process, spanning nitrocellulose production through final bottling, which has delivered consistent, lot-to-lot uniform performance for reloaders for more than 85 years.
