As part of Vihtavuori’s N500 series, N560 has nitroglycerine added to boost energy content beyond a comparable N100 series powder — meaning reloaders can achieve better velocity at the same pressure than they would with a powder like N165. With a slow burn rate sitting between N160 and N165, N560’s fairly large tubular grains (1.4mm length by 1.2mm diameter) deliver bigger loading densities and higher muzzle velocities, all within safe pressure limits.
